I often wonder about the life we are living, From this day to tomorrow and next day. Life give us experience and yet keep a difference from one another.

In my office, me and my colleagues are often working on the same thing or same project but as a person we are different, From the time when we were a child till today.

In this vast world, we are living different realities within same reality i.e Life!

Since, Childhood i was a huge fan of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and till today i read almost all the book related to it. I still remember when i first watched the movie. My premature mind often imagined myself as Aragorn or Frodo fighting through orcs and Goblins, Facing Sauron and acting like i was holding a ring. That’s corrupting me.

I was a kid!

BUT HOW MUCH DOES REALITY SUPPORT IT!

Our life often starts with imagination, we human got civilised because of imagination. Just imagine there was a time, when there was no Plane, No train, No cars and the funniest part there was a time when we lived without electricity.

It’s magic for a primitive mind but with the power of imagination “We are here”

Yuva Noah Harari has a line in the book called “Sapien”

1. "There is no justice in history. History isn’t like, 'OK, this is a particularly important juncture in the history of Homo sapiens, so let’s make sure that everything comes out for the best.' No. History is just one thing after another."

   
   

   

   
   

   It’s a Fantasy we are imagining and with Curiosity it’s Reality we are building.

Imagine the first time Human kind used Fire, The sheer difference of taste of food and the change in quality of living. From that single spark of fire that differentiates us from another living being to Now, we are imagining for the best, For the Worst. And building a society upon that ideology.

Fantasy doesn’t only apply on materialistic improvements or technology.

Fantasy also comes into play in politics, Society building, Medical science improvements, Human psychology, even Corruption like the one Ring and many more. It was all just a dream at once but with enough heat and spark i.e Curiosity, Now we are here in this time and place of Greatness and also evil.

And Change requires Imagination!

With Curiosity many kingdom rose and fell and on the feet of their ashes we are building upon our new kingdoms. It’s different yet same at core. 

It reminds me of a Play Othello by Shakespeare where Iago manipulates Othello that led to a tragic consequence, 

“ 

Iago:

"I know our country disposition well;
In Venice they do let heaven see the pranks
They dare not show their husbands; their best conscience
Is not to leave't undone, but keep't unknown."

Iago insinuates that Venetian women are deceptive and hide their true actions from their husbands. He suggests that Desdemona might be engaged in such behavior.

Iago further manipulates Othello by saying:

"...I know not if't be true,
But I, for mere suspicion in that kind,
Will do as if for surety."

This plays on Othello's curiosity and makes him anxious about the possibility of Desdemona's infidelity. Iago is skillfully exploiting Othello's trust and creating a situation where Othello becomes obsessed with finding out the truth.

This is from Act 3, Scene 3 and further down the line we understand how curiosity and imagination affects a human mind for the worst,

There’s a chance, you are getting manipulated like Othello

So, next time you wake up at the morning!

Ask yourself, are you happy with your reality or there’s a fantasy living right around the corner, that is untapped and waiting for ~
