The Faceless Storyteller (Part 4)

 

Part 4.

A thundering voice came out of the halls “Stop” and in 2 seconds every cultist stopped moving and bow down except the mechanical man. A tall dark figure emerges from the shadows.

He was wearing a peculiar mask. “Why are you smiling?” said the masked stranger and pointed his finger at Chico. “He already told me about you” Chico replied with a smirk “God of wine and ecstasy” “Now it all made sense why the cults are here in theatre” Chico Continued. “Excellent, Excellent” the masked man started clapping. He Continued “I love smart men, they have this beautiful aura hat make me thirsty” . As The masked man was speaking Glenn noticed for some reason the grasses and plants were growing around them. ‘We must make a run for it” whispered father Kino. Glenn looking for an opening and then he asked he masked man “Who is the faceless storyteller?”. “The faceless storyteller, hmm” He replied. “He sent me here to stop you” said Glenn smiling. “And were you successful to stop me” replied The Masked Man with heavy tone. “Obviously not” Glenn replied and continued ‘Oh, great one you are a god and we are mere mortal” “Would you rather be show us mercy or kill us in cold blood?”. “I’ll show you mercy but at first tell me why were you here in the first place” The Masked man asked.

“We are were here because we were curious about the hooded man and what was in the box that let the faceless man send me here’ Glenn replied confidently. ‘We were here for the ritual before the ancient one arrives,’ said the masked man. “The falling star will show us the path” he said and continued “Now you’ve got your answer, now you may leave” said the masked man and went inside the shadows. The cult also left the theatre along with the mechanical man.

They left quietly. “What was that all about?” Chico asked. “Father Kino?” Glenn asked “Are you ok?”. Father Kino in shocked. “The Falling Star will show us the path” replied Father “Was he talking about the comet I am currently charting”. “The Comet,” said Glenn.

“That’s why you are important in this story” replied Chico. “What are you talking about?” Glenn asked nervously. “The Great Comet of 1680!” said Chico looking up in the sky. “So, the cult members or the Garduna, they are waiting for the birth of someone” asked Glenn. “Garduna acting upon themselves and they have a god by their side, what are they thinking the second coming of Jesus” Chico replied with hand supporting his chin. As Glenn was speaking, he felt Sick and light headed. It was like the plain below him was moving and he cannot stand straight. “Something’s not right!” he looked and father Kino and Chico stared at him smiling “Your story is coming to an end,” said Chico. Father Kino said “You are a strong kid, keep moving forward.”. Glenn screamed ‘What, NOO!!!” and he woke up in his bed. His brother came limping “What happened?”.

Glenn got up fast and turned on his laptop and searched on Father Kino.

After a long time of research and reding he understood a lot of things but “The story isn’t finished yet” Glenn whispered to himself. His Brother asked “Are you okay!?” Glenn looked at the laptop scree and replied ‘I guess I am.’ And he sighed and waited for his next adventure.
